His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI. His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI announced during a speech today being the 02.02.2010 concerns to the Roman Catholic Bishops Vatican II of England in Rome over the Equality Act he said; “Your Country is well-known for its firm commitment to equality of opportunity for all members of society”, he then further said “ Yet, as you have rightfully pointed out, the effect of some of the legislation designed to achieve this goal has been to impose unjust limitations on the freedom of religious communities to act in accordance with their beliefs. In some respects it actually violates the natural law upon which the equality of all human beings is grounded and by which it is guaranteed.” His Holiness is correct in his statement, If we examine the European Human Rights Act Article 9. It is clear within that there is a clear statement of fact that the State can not interfere in Church. However from time to time smaller churches find that the State does attempt to dictate and interfere in its structure.
There is a well clear divide between church and state and this has been recognised time and time again by the English High Courts of London and the House of Lords, But yet we still see the British Politicians trying to intervene.
Who are the legislatures of England is it the Politicians of Parliament, The House of Lords or the High Courts of London. Personally as the Society itself has and is suffering Religious Discrimination by the very foresaid governments agency, it itself has now requested for Judicial Review at the High Courts under the former Equality Act 2 006. It would be best that if Politicians do not want churches / religious socitys to interfere in Politics which at present they do not, then I would recommend to these very politicians do not interfere in Church/ reliogious societys. Then Church / religious societys will not interfere in State. If the State does continue to attempt to interfere in church/ religious societys then they are sending a loud message to all Christians, Deacons, priests and Bishops to allow Men of God to interfere in Politics and preach their feelings to the people of God.After all how befitting that the politicians are out of touch with the local electorate. But the local Priest is at one with the local electorate and suffers the same as the electorate. Sensibly, the House of Lords viewed the new addition of the Equality Act which made its way through the Houseof Commons and correctly so it was thrown out. If the additional Equality Act had been passed by the House of Lords, The European Convention of Human Rights would have ruled the act unlawful . (C) All rights reserved- SPLXIII.
