The Right Reverend. Hyunjin Park, D.D. His Lordship the Bishop of Seoul. Bishop Hyunjin Park was born at Yeongdeok-Gun, Gyeongsang-Buk-Do, in the Republic of Korea on April 17, 1975; however, two years later his family moved to the Seoul Special City in the Republic of Korea.His Roman Catholic baptismal names are Joseph Nicholas (Latin: Iosephus Nicolaus).Bishop Park attended Eonbuk Elementary School, Cheongdam Junior High School, and Cheongdam High School at Seoul in South Korea.In 1994 he began his studies for the priesthood at the Saint John Mary Vianney Seminary in Garden Grove, California, the United States of America, and obtained the degree of the Certificate in Western Orthodoxy on November 4, 1995.He completed his public administration studies at American Century University in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the United States, and also earned the degree of the Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration on March 25, 2001.From February 5, 1996, to June 23, 1998, he served in the Republic of Korea Navy as English-Korean Simultaneous Interpreter and Administrative Agent and honourably discharged from his naval services as Petty Officer Second Class [Personnel Specialist Second Class].Bishop Hyunjin Park joined the Confraternity of Saint Michael the Archangel of the Orthodox Catholic Church on October 1, 1994.And he was ordained subdeacon, deacon, and priest by the Most Reverend +David G. Bell, D.D.BA(Thl) , LL.D.(Law), Patriarch, Metropolitan Archbishop of London, and Primate, of the Society of Pope Leo XIII.In the year of 2008, Bishop Park was elevated to the title of Monsignor and appointed Vicar General of the Society of Pope Leo XIII in Korea by His Beatitude Patriarch David G. Bell, D.D., LL.D., Metropolitan Archbishop of London and Primate.He was appointed, consecrated, and installed as First Bishop of Seoul by His Beatitude Patriarch David G. Bell, D.D., LL.D., Metropolitan Archbishop of London and Primate, in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 2010
